‘Super Rookie’ Bang Shin-sil is on a winning streak.
Bang Shin-sil shot a four-under-par안전놀이터 68 to share the lead after the first round of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour E1 Charity Open ($900 million in prize money) at Seongmunan Country Club (Par 72-6602) in Wonju, Gangwon Province, on Saturday. Ji Han-sol and Kim Min-sun 7 are also in the group.

Bang is a rookie who has played in four regular tour events this season, twice in the champions group. She finished fourth at the KLPGA Championship last month and tied for third at the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship earlier this month. She is yet to pick up her first win, but her long game, which averages 264.6 yards, has made her one of the tour’s “emerging stars.
‘LPGA member’ Yoo So-yeon, ‘money and points leader’ Park Ji-young and Lee Se-hee shot a 3-under 69. They are tied for fourth. Choi Hye-jin is tied for 12th at 2-under 70. Defending champion Jung Yun-ji is tied for 48th at 1-over par 73. Defending Lotte Car Rental Women’s Open champion Lee Ye-won is tied for 73rd at 2-over par 74.
